GRAPHICS RESONANT SCANNER (GRS and GRS-PS)
Scanner for high resolution applications

The GRS series, and the GRS-PS series that has an integral position sensor (PS), have been designed and developed for high resolution applications in graphic-art quality imaging, photo-typesetting, surface inspection and similar applications requiring extremely high accuracy. Their highly repeatable sinusoidal scan ensures the accurate placement of pixels (dots) in the cross-scan direction.

Repeatability
The GRS and GRS-PS provide a consistently repeatable Performance, because there are no bearings or other wearing Parts , as in rotary and linear scanners.

Low cross-axis wobble is achieved by a patented flexure Design that embodies two sets of twin crossed S-FlexTM

Integral  position  sensor (PS)
The GRS-PS has an integral position sensor. The position sensor is based on an elecrooptic subsystem that gives an analog single that is consistently repeatable. It is insensitive to ambient temperature variations, and has high signal to noise ration.
In conjunction with an A-to-D converter, timings signals can be provided for  placing equally spaced dots .These  timing signals compensate for the sinusoidal scan characteristic of the resonant scanner.

Quality
Our state of the art measurement technique guarantees to you that every GRS scanner performs to specification. Each scanner is tested, and “burnt-in” for 100 million cycles prior to shipment, to ensure customer satisfaction.

Remarkably Economic
Feature-for-feature, the GRS offers the highest performance for the lowest cost of any comparable scanner in the market today.
