LASER MARKER Laser Systems has developed a Laser Marking System for marking of materials for identification, machining of materials for cutting, drilling and welding. This system comprises a pulsed Fiber laser, a scan head, job holding and exhaust accessories and the necessary electronics. The fiber laser has pulse energy of 1 mJ at repletion rate of 20 kHz leading to an average power of 20W. The collimated beam is angularly scanned by a pair of galvo Scanners orthogonally mounted, in the scan head, to position the laser beam in x and y axes. Control of these galvo Scanners is achieved via commands from a computer. The output beam is focused onto the marking surface with a F-theta lens having a flat focal field. Specifications of the system: The pulse energy and the repetition rate of the laser can be set to meet the marking parameters for different materials. Materials such as aluminum need high pulse energy with low repetition rates whereas plastics require low pulse energy and high repetition rates.
