High performance resonant scanning in an extremely durable, economical package

The Series URS scanner was developed for applications requiring a compact scanner capable of delivering precise, high performance scanning at lower drive power, URS can help you downsize your equipment, improve its performance and lower the cost of your optical scanning systems. Although the application possibilities are numerous, series URS scanners have proven especially well suited for bar code reading systems and laser printers. Insensitivity to normal machine vibrations assures that performance specifications will remain in tolerance. And, because there are no wear parts, service life is virtually unlimited. Their highly repeatable sinusoidal scan ensures the accurate placement of pixels in the scan directioin, while the low cross axis wobble ensures the accurate placement of pixels in the cross-scan direction.

The URS features a large mirror up to 30x30 mm, low cross axis wobble and jitter and a range of frequencies and scan angles.

The scanner is supplied with a glass mirror. The large size of the mirror translates into a small spot size for high resolution applications and higher performance collection optics for imaging applications.

REPEATABILITY

The URS scanners provide a consistently repeatable performance, because there are no bearings or wearing parts, as in rotary and linear scanners.

Low cross-axis wobble is achieved by a patented1 flexure design that embodies two sets of twin crossed s-Flex TM   flexures.
